Football Recap: Monroe City Picks Up 11th Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Monroe City had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 58-21 victory over the Mid-Buchanan Dragons. Considering the Panthers have won nine contests by more than 23 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Monroe City's 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.7 points on average over those games. As for Mid-Buchanan, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 11-1.
