Volleyball Recap: Lancaster Extends Winning Streak to 13

Lancaster had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Essex on Thursday. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trojans. Winning may never get old, but the Red Devils sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row.

Lancaster was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19, 25-16.

Kelsey Bishoff paced Lancaster's offense, picking up six kills. Bishoff got some help from Rory Lally and her 14 assists. McKenzie Pittman controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Lancaster's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Essex, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Looking ahead, Lancaster will face off against Rappahannock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Essex does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
