Football Recap: Owen Valley Comes Up Short

Owen Valley extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They had to suffer through a 70-0 loss at the hands of the Northview Knights. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Knights are ranked 61st).

Parker Phillippe threw for 101 yards on 11 of 25 attempts. Camden Kay was his top target, picking up 75 receiving yards. On the ground, Jacob Heidrick rushed for 30 yards.

As for Northview, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

It was another big night for Colton Bath, who threw for 240 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. What's more, he racked up 169.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another big playmaker for Northview was Zane Scales, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Looking ahead, Owen Valley will look to defend their home field on Friday against Sullivan at 7:00 p.m. As for Northview, they will head out on the road to take on Terre Haute South Vigo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
