Volleyball Recap: Alhambra Bulldogs vs. Benicia Panthers
After losing to Benicia the last time they met, Alhambra decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.
Alhambra had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-14.
Yuki Watanabe paced Alhambra's offense, picking up 14 kills. Watanabe got some help from Miles Texon and his 30 assists. Texon was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.
