Ozanam's's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy 61-27 on the road. For Ozanam, this counts as revenge for the 73-69 defeat Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Ozanam was led to victory by Wardens Niclas and Talan Olmstead. Niclas scored 13 points, while Olmstead scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The contest was Olmstead's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zaireion Nicholson, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds.
Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Teddy Zitron, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Naftali Tilove, who scored 8 points.
Ozanam's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Ozanam will be playing at home against Christ Prep Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Frontier School of Excellence at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
