Seaman lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Manhattan, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Vikings never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Wednesday. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.
Aubrey Warren was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayleigh Neil, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Seaman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Manhattan, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seaman will head out to face off against Washburn Rural at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blues' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Manhattan, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Emporia at 4:00 p.m. on the 12th.
