Softball Recap: Lab Museum United Has No Trouble Against Pace

The third road match was the charm for Lab Museum United, as they earned their first away victory of the season. Everything went their way against the Pace Setters on Monday as they made off with a 26-1 win. Considering Lab Museum United has won four games by more than 14 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Dahlia Legendre made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with seven stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Jenna Schuster and Ava Bach did most of the damage at the plate: Schuster went a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, five runs, and four RBI, while Bach got on base in four of her five plate appearances with nine stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jane Rosenthal, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

Lab Museum United always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Lab Museum United has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Pace, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lab Museum United will head out to challenge Rustin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pace, they will venture away from home to face off against Brandeis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
