Baseball Game Preview: Hackettstown Tigers vs. Bound Brook Crusaders

The Hackettstown Tigers will head out to face off against the Bound Brook Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hackettstown managed to slip by Jefferson Township the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Falcons on Wednesday, falling 9-2.

Hackettstown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Edwards, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bound Brook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 15-1 to Franklin.

Bound Brook's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Hackettstown, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Hackettstown was able to grind out a solid win over Bound Brook in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
