Bethlehem Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sian John, who picked up 123 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one rushing score. John's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 105 receiving yards. Another rusher making a difference was Adian Grady, who rushed for 136 yards.
Another reason for the win was Bethlehem Christian Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. James Adams refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Piedmont Academy's side was Adams, who picked up 1.5 sacks and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, George Walton Academy was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Riverside Military Academy 43-13. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight games by 23 points or more so far this season.
George Walton Academy's win came from a few key players Bethlehem Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Zack Wolf, who rushed for 107 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. Jackson Wells was another key player, gaining 47 total yards and two touchdowns.
George Walton Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Bethlehem Christian Academy has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 176.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like George Walton Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 202.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
