Volleyball Game Preview: Torrington Raiders vs. Oxford Wolverines + How To Watch

The Torrington Raiders are taking a road trip to face off against the Oxford Wolverines at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Torrington is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Torrington came up short against Waterbury Career Academy and fell 3-1. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 25-19 in the first set.

Torrington started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Oxford lost 3-0 to Seymour on Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 25-12.

Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Torrington, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Torrington couldn't quite get it done against Oxford when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
