Basketball Recap: Mundelein Takes a Loss

Mundelein suffered their biggest loss since December 26, 2024 on Thursday. They took a blow against the Lake Zurich Bears, falling 55-28. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Bears are ranked 33rd).

Mundelein's defeat dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Lake Zurich, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

Coming up, Mundelein is taking a road trip to take on Lake Zurich at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Zurich, they will be playing at home against Warren Township at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren Township has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with six straight losses, while Lake Zurich will come in with five straight wins.
