Basketball Recap: Furtah Prep Extends Winning Streak to Six

Furtah Prep entered their tilt with Dominion Christian on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Dominion Christian Knights by a score of 56-47. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Knights are ranked 339th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Furtah Prep has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points per game. As for Dominion Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Furtah Prep will take on St. Mary's Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Furtah Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully St. Mary's Academy likes a good challenge.
