Basketball Game Preview: Somerset Christian Cougars vs. Clinton County Bulldogs

The Somerset Christian Cougars will head out to face off against the Clinton County Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a proper cat-fight when Somerset Christian duked it out withWayne County on Tuesday. Somerset Christian received a blow as they fell 76-61 to Wayne County.

Meanwhile, Clinton County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Raiders 71-37. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Clinton County's victory bumped their record up to 24-1. As for Somerset Christian, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Things could have been worse for Somerset Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 79-62 loss to Clinton County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Somerset Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
