Volleyball Recap: Newton County Extends Winning Streak to Three

Newton County entered their tilt with Northeast Lauderdale on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Northeast Lauderdale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sydney Brown had eight digs. Camilla Collison also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Newton County's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Northeast Lauderdale, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newton County will host Raleigh at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northeast Lauderdale, they will challenge Union at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
