After a string of eight wins, Espanola Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took an 89-79 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hope Christian Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sundevils of the 65-35 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.

Espanola Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Hope Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Espanola Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-61 victory against Manzano on the 27th.
