Basketball Game Preview: West Columbus Vikings vs. West Bladen Knights

West Columbus is 1-9 against West Bladen since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The West Columbus Vikings will host the West Bladen Knights at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, West Columbus lost to North Brunswick on the road by a 45-31 margin.

West Columbus' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Demya Powell, who posted seven points and 15 rebounds, and Valaisha Murchison, who put up eight points and nine rebounds. Makayla Jennings was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Meanwhile, West Bladen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 34-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Farmville Central.

West Columbus now has a losing record at 1-2. As for West Bladen, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
