Basketball Recap: Town East Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Boerne Area Christian HomeSchoolers last Tuesday, Town East Christian came back down to earth. The Town East Christian Eagles were outmatched by the Calvary Chapel Christian Academy Archangels and fell 55-23. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Benyam Hailemariam was Town East Christian's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Colin Wingate held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Jonah Snellenburg was a one-man wrecking crew for Calvary Chapel Christian Academy as he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Ronnie Marvell was another key player, going 7 for 17 en route to 14 points and six boards.

Town East Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Calvary Chapel Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
