Baseball Recap: Taylorsville Snags 12th Victory in Last 13 Games

It's playoff time, and Taylorsville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Resurrection Catholic Eagles by a score of 13-10 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tartars considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Trey Barnes, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Taylorsville's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 13-1 (and 6-9 when he doesn't). Reco Crosby was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
