Football Game Preview: Sherwood vs. Springbrook

After two weeks on the road, Sherwood is heading back home. They will square off against Springbrook at 6:30 PM on Friday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

After soaring to 47 points the game before, Sherwood faltered in their match last Friday. They have to be aching after a bruising 7-35 defeat to Paint Branch. Sherwood's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Springbrook have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their matchup against Magruder making it seven winless games in a row. Springbrook ended up on the wrong side of a painful 20-44 walloping at Magruder's hands. The state rankings had actually given Springbrook a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.

Sherwood took their contest against Springbrook the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 33-3 score. Will Sherwood repeat their success, or does Springbrook have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
