Wren has gone a perfect 5-0 against Emerald recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hurricanes will face off against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Wren and eight for Emerald.

On Friday, Wren ended up a good deal behind Westside and lost 73-58. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Rams are ranked 48th).

Meanwhile, Emerald played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 94-49 loss at the hands of Laurens. The Vikings were down 68-38 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Wren's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Emerald, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything came up roses for Wren against Emerald when the teams last played on January 9th, as the squad secured an 84-48 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
