Volleyball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Westminster Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Boaz Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2016.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16.

Addie Mcwhorter paced Westminster Christian Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Mcwhorter got some help from Azlyn Leatherwood and her 12 assists. Haley Taylor controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Westminster Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Boaz, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-13.

Westminster Christian Academy has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Sardis on the 27th. As for Boaz, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Albertville on the 26th.
