It was fun while it lasted, but Fayetteville-Perry's undefeated season came to an end after 13 games on Monday. They took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whiteoak Wildcats. The contest marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Fayetteville-Perry saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aubrey Barber posted 11 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Cara Rummel, who put up nine points and six boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fayetteville-Perry fell to 13-1. As for Whiteoak, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Fayetteville-Perry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-47 defeat against Batavia on the 21st. As for Whiteoak, they will venture away from home to face off against Peebles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Whiteoak is facing Peebles at the right time seeing as Peebles is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
