Top prospect Tevarua Tafiti headlines look at Hawaii's top seniors according to 247Sports.
Ahead of the 2021 high school football season, MaxPreps is
breaking down the top senior prospects in the country state-by-state as rated
by 247Sports. We continue the series with Hawaii, which opens play this weekend.
This fall marks a return to play for the state, which did not
play high school football during the 2020-21 school year due to the coronavirus
pandemic.
By position, linebackers hold down the top two spots, including Stanford commit
Tevarua Tafiti of
Punahou (Honolulu), while there are four offensive linemen
among the top ten. There are also two quarterbacks.
As of Aug 4, eight of the top 10 had committed to college. Both
Boise State and Hawaii led the way with two recruits each.

6-3 | 222 | LB | StanfordRated No. 240 nationally (and 26th linebacker) in the
247Sports Composite Rating, Tafiti had 19 offers from around the country before
he ultimately committed to Stanford in July. He will take part in the 2022
Polynesian Bowl.
Akana is ranked No. 571 nationally, including No. 59 at linebacker. He also drew
interest and offers from a wide range of schools nationally, including eight
Pac-12 programs.
Maiava also had offers from Auburn, Louisville, Tennessee. He is rated as the
nation’s No. 37 quarterback, according to the 247 Composite.
Currently seeing interesting from Hawaii, San Diego State, UNLC, Utah, Utah
State and Washington State.
McCaddy is rated as the nation’s No. 182 wide receiver.
