Baseball Game Preview: Oconomowoc Raccoons vs. Catholic Memorial Crusaders

For the second straight game, Oconomowoc will face off against Catholic Memorial. The Raccoons will venture away from home to face off against the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

While Oconomowoc's win against Catholic Memorial wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raccoons never let the Crusaders get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Tuesday. The Raccoons haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

For Catholic Memorial's part, Adam Schaefer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Catholic Memorial saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Sobczak, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Sobczak has snagged this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Catholic Memorial and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Oconomowoc, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
