Softball Recap: Northampton Yellowjackets vs. Nandua Warriors
Northampton lost against Nandua last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Warriors, falling 14-4. The Yellowjackets just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.
Ortavia Rogers was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Hearn, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Northampton's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Nandua, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northampton will welcome Mathews at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
