Basketball Recap: Colton-Pierrepont Skates Past Salmon River with Ease

Colton-Pierrepont entered their tilt with Salmon River on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Salmon River Shamrocks 57-21. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-4.

Colton-Pierrepont had a senior duo take command as Ty Farns almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards and Joey Fisher made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Fisher a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Tristin Thomas, who posted eight points.

Colton-Pierrepont was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Colton-Pierrepont's record is now 5-2. As for Salmon River, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colton-Pierrepont and Chateaugay will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Salmon River, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Lawrence Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
