Softball Preview: Creekside Seminoles vs. Mays Raiders

Creekside and Mays are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2016, but likely not for long. The Creekside Seminoles will welcome the Mays Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Creekside is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Jackson on Thursday as Creekside made off with a 20-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Seminoles, who have now won ten contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Creekside let Aneesa Hall and LIndsey Catuy Moore loose on the outfield. Hall scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1, while Moore scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Moore now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sanai Smith, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mays, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 15-7 margin over Drew on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Creekside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Mays, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8.
