Baseball Game Preview: Central Academy Cougars vs. Parkwood Wolf Pack

Central Academy is 2-8 against Parkwood since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Wolf Pack at 6:00 p.m. Central Academy has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Central Academy's offense. They lost 11-0 to West Stanly on Friday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Parkwood didn't have quite enough to beat Porter Ridge on Thursday and fell 2-1. The Wolf Pack have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Central Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Parkwood, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Central Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Parkwood in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 7-3. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolf Pack turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
