Soccer Game Preview: South Spencer vs. Heritage Hills

South Spencer is 1-9 against Heritage Hills since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rebels will head out to face off against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. South Spencer has given up an average of 3.3 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Spencer came up short against Washington on Monday, falling 8-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as South Spencer were already down 5-1.

Gavin Harmon wasn't going to let Washington walk away unscathed as he scored both of South Spencer's goals, bringing his season total up to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Heritage Hills hasn't lost a match since September 16th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They and Northeast Dubois finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Heritage Hills have been dealt a draw since back in August.

South Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. With that draw, Heritage Hills' record moves to 10-3-2.

South Spencer might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Heritage Hills in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
