Basketball Recap: Alliance Comes Up Short

Alliance was the 37-23 winner over Torrington when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Alliance Bulldogs took a blow against the Torrington Trailblazers on Tuesday, falling 62-22. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-9.

Alliance is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Torrington, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alliance and Chadron will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Torrington will take on Gering in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gering has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 204 points over their last three matches.
