While Mira Costa put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for Redondo Union. The Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Sea Hawks 31-0. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Sea Hawks: they've now won eight in a row.

Mira Costa's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Liam Meeker led the charge by throwing for 241 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes. Those 241 passing yards gave Meeker a new career-high. Kingston Davies helped Meeker out on the ground, picking up 79 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 30 yards and one TD.

Mira Costa's run defense was locked in: Redondo Union could only muster one yards per carry. While three picked up at least four total tackles, Meeker stood above the rest. He threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes. Mira Costa's ground attack was stronger, having averaged four.

Mira Costa's record is now 2-0. As for Redondo Union, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
