Volleyball Recap: Faith Baptist Starts off Right with Win over Community Baptist Christian

Faith Baptist had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Community Baptist Christian Kings. The win continues a trend for the Eagle in their matchups with the Kings: they've now won four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 22-25, 25-16.

Faith Baptist's offense was headlined by Bailey Burton and Linden Bonner, who picked up eight kills apiece. Burton really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with ten. Kallie Kook controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Faith Baptist is set to challenge their familiar foe Juniata Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Community Baptist Christian will take on rival Immanuel Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on September 9.
