Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lawson). They were the clear victor by a 20-0 margin over the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds on Monday. The Lightning might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 11 runs or more this season.

River Johnston made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Johnston was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, Elliot Swihart was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was C.J. Thornton, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
