            Softball Recap: Alcoa Tornadoes vs. Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals        
        
		
        
        
            Alcoa had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Eagleton College & Career Academy on Thursday. The Tornadoes' pitcher stepped up to hand the Royals  an   11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Tornadoes, who have now won six games by ten  runs or more  so far this season.
 Kaylea Osborne was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  struck out eight batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). Osborne was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Adrianna King was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Dylan Jablonski also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 Alcoa was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eagleton College & Career Academy only posted a  batting average of  .125.

The  win (which was Alcoa's eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-2-1. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-9-1.
 Looking ahead, Alcoa will host Farragut  at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, they will venture away from home to  square off against McMinn Central  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday.
