Basketball Game Preview: West Craven Eagles vs. North Pitt Panthers

West Craven hasn't had much luck against North Pitt recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The West Craven Eagles will face off against the North Pitt Panthers at 6:00 p.m. West Craven will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, everything went West Craven's way against New Bern as West Craven made off with a 57-35 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

West Craven's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Felisha Wilson, who posted 29 points and eight rebounds. Wilson's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Shalawn Yates, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, North Pitt made easy work of Washington on Thursday and carried off a 51-28 victory.

North Pitt's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for West Craven, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

West Craven took a serious blow against North Pitt in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 67-30. Can West Craven avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
