Broome Street Academy piles up the points against Varsity Opponent

The Broome Street Academy Warriors waltzed into their game Wednesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They breezed by Varsity Opponent at home to the tune of 81-44. That 81-44 margin sets a new team best for Broome Street Academy this season.
Broome Street Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andre Wright, who scored 19 points along with three steals. The matchup was Wright's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Barkley, who scored 15 points.
Broome Street Academy pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Varsity Opponent, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 152-551-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Broome Street Academy will face off against Seward Park at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Seward Park knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Broome Street Academy likes a good challenge. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to face off against Green Meadow Waldorf at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Green Meadow Waldorf is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.2 points per game.
