Basketball Game Preview: Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions vs. Metro-East Lutheran Knights

The Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions will challenge the Metro-East Lutheran Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 20 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Christ Our Rock Lutheran and 14 for Metro-East Lutheran.

Christ Our Rock Lutheran played against Althoff Catholic and lost via forfeit.

On Tuesday, Metro-East Lutheran took a blow against Althoff Catholic, falling 53-21. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 654th, while the Crusaders are ranked 262nd).

Metro-East Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-28. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-19.

Christ Our Rock Lutheran came up short against Metro-East Lutheran in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 29-17. Can Christ Our Rock Lutheran avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
