Basketball Recap: Chester Takes a Loss

Chester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Tri-Valley Bears 47-13. While losing is never fun, the Hambletonians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 680th, while the Bears are ranked 321st).

Chester's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Tri-Valley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chester will square off against Livingston Manor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tri-Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against O'Neill at 6:30 p.m. Tri-Valley is on a five-game streak of home wins, O'Neill a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
