Recap: Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg vs. Dieterich Movin Maroons
It was a good run, but Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Dieterich by a score of 36-33. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg in their matchups with Dieterich: they've now lost four in a row.
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Morgan Mathis, who scored 5 points.
Dieterich got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brittney Niemerg out in front who scored 8 points along with 10 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Estella Meinhart, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Dieterich, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg is on the road again on Monday and play against Neoga at 7:00 p.m. on November 27th. Neoga knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg likes a good challenge. As for Dieterich, they will be playing at home against Altamont at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
