Softball Recap: Arlington Comes Up Short

Arlington had lost eight straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-13 to make it nine. They came up short against the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans, falling 16-5. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for Ottawa-Glandorf, they moved to 7-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Ottawa-Glandorf's part, Haley Meyer was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave Meyer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caily Bockrath, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arlington will head out to square off against Riverdale at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, they will venture away from home to challenge Celina at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
