Baseball Recap: Central Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Central is still undefeated this season after their contest against Port Byron on Monday, but Port Byron came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Rebels' pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 2-0 shutout. While the Rebels didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-3), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Central pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Port Byron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will welcome Pulaski at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Port Byron, they will be playing at home against Weedsport at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
