Basketball Recap: California School for the Deaf Takes a Loss

California School for the Deaf lost against Redwood Christian back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. California School for the Deaf had to suffer through a 79-39 loss at the hands of Redwood Christian. While losing is never fun, California School for the Deaf can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1383rd, while Redwood Christian is ranked 416th).

David Rogers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Redwood Christian, dropping a double-double with 30 points and 14 rebounds. Rogers' evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Bansraj, who went 5-for-6 on his way to 13 points.

California School for the Deaf has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Redwood Christian, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-3.

California School for the Deaf wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-42 defeat against Cristo Rey De La Salle on the 12th. As for Redwood Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 91-44 win against California Crosspoint on the 13th.
