Baseball Game Preview: Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles vs. Tallulah Falls Indians

The Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles will square off against the Tallulah Falls Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hilton Head Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

If Hilton Head Christian Academy beats Tallulah Falls with eight runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Eagles walked away with an 8-4 win over Fairview last Wednesday.

Slaide Burd was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chip Hetzel, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Tallulah Falls posted their closest victory since March 18th on Friday. They skirted past Athens Christian 9-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

The team relied heavily on Justin Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Diego Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Tallulah Falls' win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
