Dynamic duo of Mussie Yimer and Joseph Shelton lead Lincoln to victory

The Lincoln Lions had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against Piedmont Hills by a score of 66-53. For Lincoln, this counts as revenge for the 81-79 defeat Piedmont Hills walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Lincoln was led to victory by Mussie Yimer and Joseph Shelton. Yimer scored 19 points, while Shelton scored 24 points. Shelton has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Hooks, who scored eight points.

Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Piedmont Hills, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-10.

Lincoln will take on Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Piedmont Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Prospect at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Prospect has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 446 points over their last seven matches.
