Recap: Tidewater Academy Warriors vs. Amelia Academy Patriots
The Tidewater Academy Warriors can finally bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-36 win over Amelia Academy. The victory was just what Tidewater Academy needed coming off of a 61-32 defeat in their prior matchup.
Amelia Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Kyle Anderson and Carson Roberts. Anderson scored 23 points along with five steals and two blocks, while Roberts scored nine points along with two steals. That was a full 63.9% of Amelia Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Tidewater Academy's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Amelia Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Tidewater Academy will challenge Kenston Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kenston Forest has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 328 points over their last four matches. As for Amelia Academy, they will be playing at home against Southampton Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
