Forsyth Country Day won against Mount Tabor last Thursday with 44 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Forsyth Country Day Furies walked away with a 44-37 victory over the Durham Academy Cavaliers. Winning may never get old, but the Furies sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Forsyth Country Day's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gigi Lyons led the charge by putting up 25 points. Another player making a difference was Lila Kelly, who posted 14 points.

Durham Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Whitney Wiles, who put up eight points and seven boards. That's the most points Wiles has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Freedman, who earned nine points.

Forsyth Country Day's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Durham Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Forsyth Country Day will square off against High Point Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Forsyth Country Day is facing High Point Christian Academy at the right time seeing as High Point Christian Academy is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Durham Academy, they will head out on the road to take on St. Mary's at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
