Basketball Recap: LKY Takes a Loss

If LKY was riding high fresh off their 74-39 takedown of Illinois C on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The LKY Saints were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 63-62 to the North Metro Blazers.

Despite the loss, LKY still got an impressive performance from Monty Edwards, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 15 points and five boards. Edwards continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Braylyn Collins was another key player, putting up nine points.

LKY's defeat dropped their record down to 10-20. As for North Metro, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, LKY will be playing in front of their home fans against River City Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. LKY knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully River City Jaguars likes a good challenge. North Metro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
