Baseball Recap: St. Mary's Takes a Loss

St. Mary was the 10-0 winner over Bonanza when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. St. Mary's came up short against Bonanza on Friday, falling 13-3. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Mary's saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vince Savage, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Savage also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bonanza, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Glide at 4:30 p.m. on April 8. As for Bonanza, they will square off against Glendale at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
