Football Recap: Gates County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Gates County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the KIPP P Pride at home by a 28-14 margin.

KIPP P's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gearey Johnson led the charge by rushing for 102 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 42 yards and one TD. Tamaues Person was another key back, rushing for 118 yards on only nine carries.

Gates County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for KIPP P, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Gates County has already played their next game, a 44-13 win against Northampton County on the 12th. As for KIPP P, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 20-0 victory against KIPP DC Legacy College Prep on the 12th.
