Volleyball Recap: Avon Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Rochester on Monday, Avon came back down to earth. The Braves came up short against the York Golden Knights on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Avon has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for York, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Avon will square off against Geneseo at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for York, they will take on Warsaw at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
